Dickwella Resort and Spa is within walking distance of Dickwella Beach. It is 8 km from the Hummanaya Blow Hole. Bandaranaike International Airport is 210 km away.

The dive centre provides courses for beginners, as well as diving trips for the more experienced. Dickwella offers water sports like windsurfing and canoeing. Other recreational facilities include a saltwater pool and a tennis court.

Insgesamt ist die gesamte Anlage in die Jahre gekommen, man spürt und sieht an allen Ecken den Verschleiß.

Das Personal war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Die Lage zwischen zwei Stränden ist perfekt für Sonnenaufgang sowie Untergang. Die Anlage selbst ist sehr gepflegt und schön.
Der Pool schließt schon um 19 Uhr. Das ist etwas früh. Viele Zimmer benötigen eine Renovierung. Spiegel im Bad und Armaturen sind z.T. sehr kaputt (wie in den meisten Hotels). Kopfkissen sehr hart und groß. Wir hatten zuerst ein eher dunkles Zimmer ohne mosquito Netz aber nachdem wir uns beschwert hatten, dass das Zimmer nicht der Buchung entsprach, gab man uns das korrekte Zimmer mit Mosquito Netz.
